SAVIA: Open Innovation at CMPC

Savia is a space that seeks to mobilise talents for creating the packaging of the future through low environmental impact materials, thus contributing to overcome relevant global challenges for the future of the industry and the climate crisis.

59 people and startups from 22 different countries participated in the contest.

10 shortlisted participants went on to a DemoDay, an instance where they presented a pitch before a series of jury members.

Out of the total number of teams, 6 were chosen as winners and are currently providing global solutions and participating within CMPC Biopackaging’s value chain.

Thanks to this project’s results, Unit is currently carrying out the design, installation, and operation of CMPC’s open innovation platform in its new versions, in addition to the creation of six global solutions that are joining CMPC Biopackaging’s value chain.
