Diana Hidalgo

Diana Hidalgo is a strategic designer and innovation practitioner with over a decade of experience across government, international development and the social sector. Her work combines service design, systems thinking, futures and experimentation to help organisations navigate complex challenges, shape strategies and test new approaches. Currently at the UK Ministry of Justice, she has applied design across policy and operational settings, combining hands-on practice with building others’ capabilities to use design and innovation. Her capability-building experience spans different contexts, from consulting for the World Bank to strengthen systems thinking among government leaders across Latin America, to teaching civil servants how to make sense of evidence and complexity at the UK Government School of Design. Previously, at Nesta, she developed international learning programmes for civil servants and collaborated with the British Council and Inter-American Development Bank to help social and creative entrepreneurs across Latin America, Asia and Europe build sustainable, financially viable enterprises.
