The Creative Policy Programme is a training program designed to help the Mexican public sector improve its understanding of the creative economy and its methods and tools for innovation within public administration. The goal is to develop the sector's economic and sociocultural potential.
It is specifically designed for managers and public servants involved directly in the creation of social, creative, and cultural projects within the public sphere. The program aims to train participants in service design tools to help them formulate better programs, policies, and experiences for innovation in the public and cultural sectors.
The first edition of the program was designed by the Unit team in partnership with the Royal College of Art and was launched in July 2019 with members of the Undersecretariat for Cultural Development of Mexico's Ministry of Culture. The second edition took place in 2021 for the state of Puebla.
For the first edition, Unit created a Toolkit to support managers and administrators in developing better policies, programs, and experiences to innovate in the cultural sector. Additionally, Unit led a training program for public officials, providing them with skills in design and innovation.
