Duoc UC, a professional institute with over 100.000 students across Chile, worked with Unit to transform its community engagement model, recognizing that engagement is essential and part of the institution’s DNA.
Through a co-design process, gaps that hindered engagement—both for students and staff—were identified, and tools were created to help bridge them. In 2024, the Guide to Support the Development of Community Engagement Initiatives was launched. It systematizes actions and tools for each stage of the internal quality assurance mechanism for community engagement: CREA+.
Its goal is to support the implementation and operationalization of Duoc UC’s current Community Engagement Policy and to facilitate the design, execution, and evaluation of engagement initiatives.
